We have been nominated by the UK Event Awards!

By UALSocial 29 Oct 2015

We are very excited to announce that the Social Programme has been nominated for 'Educational Event of the year' in the ‘UK Event Awards’ for the second year running. In case you haven't been to one of our weekly events, the programme is held in all UAL Halls and hosts regular weekly events. What’s more, the programme is completely coordinated by students (Social reps), which makes it unique, inclusive and empowering for everyone involved.

Over the past year the Social Programme has gone from strength to strength and students have organised an amazing array of events including; trips to European cities, charity events, UK day trips, health awareness days, ‘Be Green’ week, international celebrations days and local community engagement activities.

The majority of events are free and the programme pioneers campaigns and community projects in and outside the UK. The ‘Social reps’ are at the foundation of community life and student experience as they create an environment of peer-to-peer support that just can’t be rivalled. The list of events is endless and can range from chilled out movie nights to adventurous tours of London, giving students the opportunity to get to know not only their new home but their new city. Students even have the opportunity to join the Social Programme on trips abroad throughout the year, which provide cultural insight and a break away from studying.

We are really proud to be nominated again and we are crossing all our fingers that this year will be our year!

Find out more about the programme on the 'Social Programme' tab and don't forget to follow us on Facebook too.
