03 /Getting your Student Finance on time

What to do to get your Student Finance on time:

You must enrol at Northumbria University before your funding body can make your first student finance payment.  Once it’s confirmed that you’ve enrolled, they'll pay any Maintenance Loan you're entitled to into your bank account – it can take three working days for the money to reach your account – and they'll pay your Tuition Fee Loan directly to Northumbria University.

The Getting Paid playlist explains what steps you need to take to get your money in time for the start of your course.  Please click here for details.

The student finance zone also has some tips on how you can make sure you get your money in time for the start of your course.  Please click here for details.

Beware of phishing scams

Please be aware that Fraudsters often target students around payment dates at the start of term. Make sure that any e-mails claiming to be from Student Finance England asking you to confirm you bank details are deleted and not replied to - they would never ask you to confirm your bank details or log-in information by email.
