What is QMU's new student support system?

By Megan 05 Feb 2019

A new QMU student support system has been launched but what is it?

The Student Services team have been busy implementing a new system to allow students to access information, resources and book appointments through one online portal. They launched it in December, you can check it out here, but they are still developing it so expect more improvements in the future. But just what is UniHub?!

Charlotte Beck, a Careers Adviser at QMU, has been part of the implementation team. Here’s what she has to say about it:

“The new system is like a ‘one stop shop’ for all kinds of advice and information across Student Services. We started out with the Careers & Employability team initially, adding job and voluntary opportunities, creating appointments and events. But we now also have the Disability Service and Wellbeing Service live on the site, which is fantastic! There are dozens of resources, links and support information on it, as well as appointments and events. Every day we learn something new about the system, so we are always thinking of improvements to it. I am so proud of what we have done so far, but we are not done yet! We will always adding to the information, creating new FAQs and in the next semester we will have Student Funding information on there too. So keep checking back to see the developments!”

The site is open to all current students, just use your QMU log in details to access it. (Here’s the link again so you can save it to your bookmarks:

You will find it linked through the Student Portal, the Careers & Employability pages on the Hub and from the MyQMU App. Its mobile responsive so you can use it on the go with ease. Recent graduates and staff can also access the information too.

The team are always looking for feedback on the site, so if you have some feedback to give them, email the Careers Department or pop in to the Employability Centre.

We hope you like it!
